Neath MP Peter Hain has congratulated Neath Athletic Ladies rugby team following their Welsh Cup and League double. It is the second consecutive season that they have achieved the feat and the fourth time in six years that the side has won the cup. Mr Hain congratulated the side, ‘Neath has such a proud tradition of rugby success and it is fantastic to see a women’s team to rival their male counterparts. Your triumphs over the last few years including back to back cup and league wins, four cup wins in six years, finalists on six occasions and producing Wales internationals have not only made you the most successful side but also a dominant force in Welsh rugby.’
