No End In Sight For Neath Jobs Misery
Latest figures show that unemployment has risen for the second consecutive month in Neath which local MP Peter Hain has described as ‘the consequence of this Government’s disastrous economic policy.’
Unemployment figures release today show that overall unemployment has risen to 1744 and youth unemployment to 580 in February.
Commenting on the figures Mr Hain said, “On the day the Chancellor is announcing yet more cuts these figures show that his policies are not working. For thousands across the constituency the misery continues to go on and there is no end in sight with five people chasing every Jobcentre vacancy. Worryingly these figures reveal that a third of those unemployed are aged between 18 and 24, they are being let down by this Government and suffering because of the failings of the banks and Cameron’s inaction.”
