Peter Praises Work of Local Councillor

Neath MP Peter Hain has praised the work of Neath Port Talbot County Borough Councillor Malcolm Gunter who has passed away and sent his condolences to his family.

Mr Hain said, ‘This is terribly sad news. Mal was a great community man working endlessly through his role as Town Councillor, Neath Borough Councillor, County Borough Councillor and during his distinguished time as Neath Town Mayor and then Neath Port Talbot Mayor.

His contribution to the community though went much further with his incredible work in the Royal British Legion and the Neath and District Trades Council. Our thoughts go out his widow Mary, their sons, grandsons and the whole family at this terrible time.’
