Plans unveiled to revamp Neath town centre
BBC Wales
Neath MP Peter Hain welcomed the plans to breathe new life into the town centre which has suffered from the tough economic climate.
“Neath has a got a fantastic and cosy town centre which people love visiting and shopping in,” he told BBC Wales.
“The heart of the town is very unusual in that respect. But with brand names leaving, there are a number of empty units.
“The closure of the magistrates’ court, we’re also losing our post office and the citizens advice bureau has gone – it’s one thing after another.”
“The town will be massively enhanced by these new facilities.”
