Resolven Remembered
An amateur photographer from the Neath Valley village of Resolven, Glyn Davies, has compiled 200 hundred photographs of local life spanning the whole of the 20th century in a new book, ‘Reflections of a Bygone era’, which has been welcomed by Neath MP Peter Hain, who lived in Resolven for 14 years, and County Councillor Des Davies.
‘This is real treasure-trove of Resolven old and young by the village’s best photographer.’ said Peter Hain.
From terrible flooding of the village in 1911 to a 1992 Memorial to miners killed in local pits, the photos cover a fascinating range of life. Copies priced £20 are available from Dolly Bach’s Florist in Resolven or T G Davies 13 Heol Nedd Cwmgwrach Neath SA11 5PL, tel, 01639 721328
